Caliber Press accepts rolling submissions year-round.
We publish bold, thoughtful, and well-crafted work across genres. We are open to fiction, memoir, non-fiction, poetry, children’s books, speculative works, horror, romance, sci-fi/fantasy, essay collections, and other innovative or cross-genre projects.
We seek writing that is compelling, intentional, and artfully executed — work that leaves a lasting impression and contributes meaningfully to the literary landscape. We welcome submissions from writers of all backgrounds and perspectives.
Please read the following guidelines carefully before submitting your work.
Submission Guidelines:
COVER LETTER
All submissions must include a cover letter (no longer than one page) that includes:

Your name, bio, and contact information

The title and genre of the work you are submitting

A brief (one paragraph) description of the manuscript

Estimated word count (for full manuscripts)

A short statement about why you believe this project is a good fit for Caliber Press
WRITING SAMPLE
Please include:

Fiction, memoir, or non-fiction: 10–20 pages

Poetry: 5–10 poems

Children’s books: Complete manuscript (if under 1,500 words) or the full text of the book

Graphic or illustrated works: Writing sample plus a brief description of visual direction
FORMAT

Use 12-point Times New Roman or a standard, readable serif font
